Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This policy explains how IGramAPI (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit igramapi.com, use the dashboard at app.igramapi.com or call the API at api.igramapi.com.

1. Information we collect

From you

  • Account details: your name (optional), email address and password. We never store your password in readable form.
  • Billing details: when you buy a plan, our payment partner collects your payment information. We receive the status of the payment, the plan and a payment reference. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Messages: what you send us when you contact support.

Automatically

  • API usage: which endpoints you call, when, how many credits were used and whether the call succeeded. We keep daily totals per account and per endpoint for billing and the usage charts in your dashboard.
  • Technical data: IP address, request path, response status, timing, browser or client type and a request identifier, written to security and operational logs.
  • API keys: we store a one-way fingerprint of each key and its label, creation date and last-used date. We cannot show you a key again.

The marketing website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Data returned by the API. Requests ask for information that is public on Instagram. We process the search terms or usernames you send in order to answer the request, and we may keep responses in a short-lived cache. We do not use API results to build profiles of end users, and we do not sell them.

2. How we use information

  • to provide, secure and support the Service and to bill you;
  • to enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy and to prevent abuse and fraud;
  • to send service emails such as verification, password reset, receipts and important notices;
  • to understand usage in aggregate and improve the Service;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the Service, compliance with legal duties and, where needed, your consent.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate terms: payment processing (Razorpay), email delivery, cloud hosting and content delivery infrastructure (including Cloudflare), and tools we use for security and monitoring. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety and the Service. If we are involved in a merger or sale, information may transfer to the successor. We do not sell personal information.

4. International transfers

Our providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We take steps to protect it as described in this policy.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account information while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and legal needs.
  • Aggregated usage totals for about 13 months.
  • Operational logs for a short period needed for security and debugging.
  • Billing records as long as tax and accounting law requires.

You can ask us to delete your account. Some information must be kept to meet legal obligations.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your API keys private. See our security page.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, to object to or restrict certain processing and to complain to a data protection authority. To use these rights, email support@igramapi.com. We may need to verify your identity first.

8. Instagram users and creators

If you are an Instagram user and want to know how public information about you is handled, or want to ask us to stop returning a particular public profile, email support@igramapi.com with the account name. The most reliable way to control what is public is to change your privacy settings on Instagram, because we only work with information visible to the public.

9. Children

The Service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We will post changes to this policy on this page with a new date, and tell account holders about material changes.
